SUNSWEPT BAY

Absolutely recommend, great place great views. Can't wait to go back and enjoy again. Management was very attentive if we needed anything and happy to accommodate. Downstairs was convenient with bedroom and bathroom. Everything was nicely decorated and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you all very much!

Cabinet door fell off. Small appliances didn't work ac downstairs didn't work so we had to dbl up in beds. Management didn't return calls

We had an amazing time at this quaint and spot-on bayside home! The views are incredible and close to the quieter beaches but not too far away from Galveston. The house was clean and cozy and a perfect location. We will be back!

We enjoyed the house with the ship above the door and all the pictures of the flamingos in the bed room and the fruit wallpaper in the bathrooms. Plus the views on the decks was amazing.

The house is in a great location. However it needs several updates and the bedroom on the ground floor isn’t usable space. Definitely mold there. The house was musty overall and we had to air it out for several hours. It rained and there was standing water downstairs which I am sure is the cause of the mold and musty smell. Finally there was no washer or dryer so we spent part of our time doing laundry at a laundry mat. This could be a great rental but lots of things need to be updated and fixed. Such a shame because the views are excellent not only in the front but the back as well.

I have been staying here during the Lone Star Rally for the last 4 years. I absolutely love this property. Watching the sun rise on the water from the front patio, and then getting to see the sun set on the water from the back deck is simply amazing. I see that they have made some changes to the downstairs bedroom that really surprised me and it looks really good. The neighbors are very friendly also. Looking to make year number 5!!

Very strong smell of mold in basement bedroom. Did not have any beach chairs, floats, did not have use of kayaks.

We had a great stay at this property. The house is on the water, and we rented two kayaks for our family from this place: /
It was nice to go for a walk in a kayak down to the waters of the State ark, where one can see many birds.
There are three rooms, which is nice for a large family. One of the rooms is in the basement.
One thing that could be better is if the kitchen cabinets' doors were not so sticky... These cabinet doors require a thorough cleaning, or even replacement.
Otherwise, the house is well kept and nice.

I was very satisfied with the fishing activity at night on the dock below. It made for a really wonderful birthday weekend. We caught more fish that we could count but chose not to keep any. The location is great and the accommodations were as well. I’d definitely stay again.

The location is perfect, on the canal with the beach just right down the road. Way less people than galveston so that was nice. The house is very nice, could use some updates but overall a very nice place to stay. Only concern we had was the ladder for the canal came off with my husband on it. Luckily we were able to screw it back on so not a big deal but something that could be replaced so no one else has this happen.

It was a wonderful stay but just need updates as far as decorating to match hemispheres!

We loved our stay here at Sunswept Bay.
The home is comfortable and love the layout. It has an awesome deck!
The only downside is not having a washer/dryer.
Would be great if rental company provided extra towels during the week.

Wonderful ❣️ vacation home

I needed some "beach time" and with this property I was able to swim a little at the property and the beach is within 1 mile.

Never again will we stay here at this house.First of all the "three bedroom" was not a three bedroom it was a bed in a storage room under the house next to the washer and dryer. On top of that it smelled HORRIBLE and couldn't even have anyone stay in there even if we wanted to. The grill was dirty of course when we checked in so was unable to use it. The door to the house doesn't lock it was unlocked when we checked in and when we "thought" we locked it turned out we didn't. This house was so outdated will not be renting again. With all the extra fees attached it's not worth it!!!

This house is great! 2 bedrooms with 2 baths upstairs, 1 bedroom with half bath downstairs. Lots of room inside. Perfect location. House sits on intersection of 2 waterways in canal. Wildlife preserve is across the street. House is very comfortable. We would stay here again. The price is great because the house is wonderful!

Overall great experience. Nice clean house. It was a wonderful stay. The view from the front and back is remarkable. Just wish the downstairs bedroom was actually attached to the rest of the house. It was more of a utility room converted to a bedroom. It also would've been on if it had a tv. Still, a great property and I would visit again.

We loved our stay at Sunswept Bay!!! Everyone at Wolverton was wonderful in getting us all checked in and settled! The home was lovely, loved the deck! So clean and comfortable!!! Nice updates and decor!!! So much space and a cute kitchen with lots of bar seating and a table!!! Again, so clean. Nice to have WiFi and Directv with my teenagers! We would stay here again and recommend it highly!!!

This place is an older home but updated cute beach home. Very comfortable amd efficient.

Our family of three enjoyed our stay at Sunswept Bay. Great canal views on one side and beautiful views overlooking the state park on the other. A very short drive to the beach and a few good, close restaurants on that side of the island. The house was very clean and the property manager was responsive (no linen when we got there, but was delivered quickly after a call). We would stay here again.

It was a great family experience we all had an awesome time! The house was all we expected it to be,love the way they decorated the home & the evenings on the balcony were the best.Thank you for letting us rent it.

The view fantastic . Had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, not to far from the main stream of Seawall, and short drive to beach. The view of canal was really nice and relaxing. Neighborhood peaceful. You could view water from upper deck and lower deck with plenty of seating . Water accumulates in a spot close to stairs. If not swept out immediately algae forms and becomes hazard of slipping. Carpet needs cleaning. View overrides small complaints. 3rd bedroom is downstairs but needs attention . Would stay there again

Sunswept bay was awesome, great views, house was very clean and roomy. carport did tend to hold rainwater but was easily swept away. Our only complaint would be we couldn't stay longer.

My friends and I were down for the Lone Star Rally and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to come home to a place that was quite and with such a serene setting after the madness. The home is clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who is seeking a quiet well maintained vacation rental.

Our family was MORE than pleased with Sunswept Bay. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. My 53 year old daughter LOVED the dishes and bowls from her grandmothers era. The old photo and history of the house is very interesting. The deck was amazing and great for relaxing! We highly approve!!

It was exactly what we were looking for. Simple, clean and very affordable. Some of the outside lighting under the deck didn't work but that was not a problem for us. i will remember this property for future trips.

The property was exactly what we wanted for our getaway. Plenty of room and very clean. We were close to the beach and fished off the dock at night. Quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning watching the sun rise and the peacefulness of the morning. We will definitely return again.

Vacation was fantastic. The evening breeze kept it cool. The house was clean and really nice. Our only disappointment was their was no fishing light, very dark at night to fish.

We chose this rental house because it is very close to our sons home there. It gives us a place to have family fun and meals together. I especially like the covered porch for mornings, deck for star gazing!. It rained the morning of our departure, and the ground level was very flooded making packing the car very difficult, wading in ankle deep water. The owner has a real problem here, will inquire if this is fixed before renting again or recommending.
